Connect a number
Scan a QR. No Business API, no migration, no approval.
MajlisDesk connects to a number the same way WhatsApp Web does: as a linked device. You keep the number on your phone, and the app becomes another place it can be worked from.
How to connect
- Go to Settings → Phones → Add a number.
- On the phone that owns the number, open WhatsApp → Settings → Linked devices → Link a device.
- Scan the QR shown in MajlisDesk.
- Wait for the status to turn connected. History begins syncing immediately.
What you do not need
- The WhatsApp Business API — no application, no Meta business verification, no template approval.
- A new number — your existing one works, including the one already printed on your cards.
- To stop using WhatsApp on your phone — the phone keeps working normally.
Limits worth knowing
- One number belongs to one workspace. Connecting it to a second workspace is refused, because two live sessions on one account is the anomaly that gets accounts banned.
- WhatsApp allows a limited number of linked devices per account. Each MajlisDesk connection uses one.
- History that syncs is recent history, not everything since 2019. WhatsApp decides how much it hands over.
If a number shows as disconnected, it usually needs a fresh QR scan. That happens after a long phone outage, a WhatsApp reinstall, or if the device was unlinked from the phone.
