Keeping your number safe
What gets numbers banned, and what the product does about it.
This is the page nobody else in the category writes honestly, so here it is. MajlisDesk connects as a linked device. That is the same mechanism WhatsApp Web uses, and it is not the WhatsApp Business API — which means the rules you have to respect are behavioural, not contractual.
What actually gets numbers banned
- Bulk unsolicited messaging — the single biggest cause, by a distance.
- Sending faster than a human could type, especially to people who have never messaged you.
- Being reported and blocked by recipients. Reports matter more than volume.
- Brand-new numbers sending to many strangers on day one.
What MajlisDesk does about it
- Outbound messages are paced rather than fired — a rate limit with a small burst allowance, so a queue drains at human speed.
- Typing and recording indicators are sent before a message, with natural variation, because real clients do that.
- Media downloads are paced separately, so a burst of images does not look like a scraper.
- The browser extension cannot send at all.
Rules worth following yourself
- Message people who messaged you first, or who gave you their number for this purpose.
- Warm a new number up over weeks, not hours.
- Make it easy to opt out, and honour it immediately — an opt-out you ignore becomes a report.
- If a number is disconnected repeatedly, treat it as a signal rather than an inconvenience.
No tool can promise you will never be banned, and any vendor who does is telling you something they cannot know. What a tool can do is behave like a person and refuse to help you behave otherwise.
