Terms of service
Effective 11 August 2026
Agreement
By creating a workspace or using MajlisDesk you agree to these terms. If you are using it for an organisation, you confirm you are allowed to accept them on its behalf, and “you” means that organisation. Our Privacy policy is part of this agreement.
What MajlisDesk is
MajlisDesk is a shared inbox. It lets a team work one or more WhatsApp numbers and email mailboxes together, with assignment, labels, internal notes, tickets, custom properties and canned replies. It connects to WhatsApp as a linked device by QR, the way WhatsApp Web does. It is not the WhatsApp Business API, and we do not resell one.
Who can use it
You need to be 18 or over and able to enter into a contract. A workspace is for one organisation: do not resell access, share credentials outside your team, or open it to people who are not part of your business.
Your account and your team
Give accurate details, keep your password to yourself, and turn on two-factor authentication. You choose the roles your team members hold and the visibility rules that go with them, and you are responsible for what they do inside your workspace. If you think an account has been taken, tell us quickly so we can help you close it.
The numbers and mailboxes you connect
Only connect a number or a mailbox your organisation controls and is entitled to use. Where the law where you operate requires it, it is your job to tell the people in those conversations that a team handles them, and to hold whatever consent that law requires. You can unlink a WhatsApp number from your phone, and withdraw a mailbox authorisation at your provider, at any time and without asking us.
Acceptable use
Use MajlisDesk for real conversations, and use it lawfully. Specifically: do not send bulk unsolicited messages of any kind — no cold outreach at volume, no purchased or scraped lists, no broadcasting to people who never asked to hear from you. Do not harass, threaten, defraud or impersonate. Do not send malware, or content you have no right to send. Do not try to break, overload, probe or reverse-engineer the service, work around its limits, or use it to build a competing product. Do not break the terms of WhatsApp, Meta or your email provider while using ours. Where MajlisDesk offers broadcast or automation, it is for people who already know you and can opt out easily — and an opt-out must be honoured the moment it arrives.
Your number, your sending, your risk
This is the part the rest of the category leaves vague, so we will be plain. MajlisDesk connects as a linked device, which means the rules protecting your number are behavioural rather than contractual. WhatsApp can restrict or ban a number at its own discretion, and what usually triggers that is how the number is used: bulk unsolicited messages, sending faster than a person could type, and reports from the people receiving them. That outcome follows from your sending behaviour and is a decision made by WhatsApp, not by us. We pace outbound messages, send typing indicators, keep the browser extension unable to send at all, and decline to build the blasting features that get numbers killed. What we cannot do is promise a number will never be restricted, appeal on your behalf, or accept liability if it happens. Anyone in this market who promises you otherwise is telling you something they cannot know.
Not affiliated with Meta
WhatsApp is a trademark of Meta Platforms, Inc. MajlisDesk is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by WhatsApp or Meta.
Your content and data
The messages, contacts, files and notes that flow through your inbox are yours. You grant us the permission we need to store, transmit, index and display them so the product works, and nothing wider than that — the detail is in our Privacy policy. You are responsible for your content and for having the right to handle it. You can export it whenever you like, and delete it yourself from Settings → Data.
AI features
Summaries, suggested replies and the AI connector are assistance, not authorship. Model output can be wrong or confidently mistaken, and a suggested reply is a draft — read it before you send it. You remain responsible for every message that leaves your workspace, whoever or whatever drafted it. If you connect your own AI assistant, you are responsible for what you grant it and for what its provider does with what it receives.
Plans, trial and billing
MajlisDesk is billed as a flat monthly price per plan, with unlimited team members — not per user and not per message. The 14-day trial needs no card. Paid plans renew each month until cancelled; when you cancel, your plan runs to the end of the paid period and is not pro-rated. Prices may change with reasonable prior notice, and fees exclude any taxes that apply.
Availability and support
We aim to keep MajlisDesk running and we answer support by email and WhatsApp during Gulf business hours. We do not offer a service-level agreement, we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service, and we will occasionally take the service down for maintenance. Parts of MajlisDesk depend on WhatsApp and on your email provider: when one of those has an outage or changes how it works, your inbox is affected and there is very little we can do about it from our side.
Third-party services
MajlisDesk works alongside services we do not control — WhatsApp, Google, Zoho, and the providers named in our Privacy policy. Their availability, pricing and rules can change without notice, and we are not responsible for what they do or for what happens to your relationship with them.
Intellectual property
We and our licensors own the MajlisDesk software, brand and content. These terms give you the right to use the service and no rights in it beyond that.
Feedback
If you send us an idea for the product, we can use it without owing you anything for it, and we will not treat it as confidential unless you asked us to before sending it.
Disclaimers
MajlisDesk is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the extent the law allows. We do not warrant that the service will meet every requirement, that it will be free of faults, or that any number or mailbox will never be restricted by the provider that runs it.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, MajlisDesk is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost data, revenue, profits or goodwill — including anything that follows from a number being restricted or banned. Our total liability for all claims arising in any twelve-month period is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months before the claim arose. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Indemnity
If someone brings a claim against us because of the way you used MajlisDesk — the messages you sent, the content you handled, or a law you broke — you will cover our reasonable costs in dealing with it. We will tell you about any such claim promptly and let you take part in the defence.
Suspension and termination
You can stop using MajlisDesk at any time. We may suspend or end access if these terms are broken, if a workspace puts the service or other customers at risk, or if fees go unpaid — acting proportionately, and telling you why unless saying so would make the problem worse. After termination you have thirty days to export your data before we delete it; if we ended access for serious abuse, we may not wait that long.
Changes to the service
The product changes. We add things, improve things, and occasionally retire something. If we remove a feature you rely on, we will give you reasonable notice, and where that materially reduces what you paid for, a way out.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product changes. We will update the effective date and, for material changes, notify you in the app or by email; continuing to use MajlisDesk after that means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, and the courts of the UAE have jurisdiction — unless mandatory law where you live gives you rights you cannot sign away. Before either of us goes to court, write to support@majlisdesk.com: almost everything is faster to fix that way.
General
If part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still stands. Not enforcing something once does not waive it later. You may not transfer this agreement without our written consent; we may transfer it to a successor if the business changes hands. These terms, together with the Privacy policy, are the whole agreement between us on this subject.
Language
This agreement is provided in English and Arabic for convenience. If there is any conflict between the two, the English version prevails.
